Peace Education in Croatia: A New Wind of Peace through HWPL

Hello! Today, I would like to introduce you to one of the key projects being conducted by the private non-profit peace organization, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL).

​It's called "Peace Education."

HWPL's Peace Education aims to end wars and teach peace to future generations.

Currently, many countries recognize the importance of peace and are teaching peace education in schools through MOUs with HWPL.

Today, I would like to introduce you to the peace education in Croatia.

Croatia is renowned for its beautiful natural landscapes and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, but it also has a history of suffering due to the civil war with Serbia in the 1990s.

Recently, the winds of peace have been blowing in Croatia through HWPL's peace education!

Ante Starčević Elementary School boasts a 190-year history, having witnessed numerous events, including wars.

Željka Gospočić, a teacher at the school, completed HWPL's peace educator training program. She now teaches her students about peace, nurturing their dreams to make the world a more peaceful place.

Teacher Željka was delighted that through HWPL's peace education, students learned to respect each other, appreciate and care for one another, and show respect for their teachers and parents.

Additionally, drawing from her experience of living through the war, she emphasized the importance of peace education, hoping that students would learn to respect one another and live in a peaceful world.

Another school, Hugo Badalić Elementary School, is also actively implementing peace education programs.

Students at this school are learning about the importance of peace through peace-related exhibitions.

What are the reactions of students who have received peace education?

The students have learned that regardless of culture or religion, everyone should love each other, and they realized that living peacefully is not difficult. 

Also, there were opinions that war is bad and that weapons should be banned.

In this way, HWPL peace education has helped Croatian students realize the importance of peace and gain valuable experience in understanding why it is crucial to protect peace themselves.

Peace education is being carried out not only in Croatia but also in various countries.

We hope that Croatia's future generations will respect each other and create a peaceful world through peace education.
