This review was provided by a writer who attended the event. On Saturday, May 25, 2024, I headed to Songpa-gu, Seoul, for an advertising planning meeting. With some time to spare before the meeting, I decided to take a walk in Olympic Park with the PD. As we approached the park, we noticed a crowd of people gathered at the entrance. Curious about the event, we walked closer and saw a representation of the Korean Peninsula adorned with flowers.  When we asked the guide about it, they explained that HWPL was hosting a ceremony to commemorate the 11th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace . Considering the recent conflicts between Russia and Ukraine and the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, an event focused on peace felt particularly significant. We decided to explore the booths a bit more. Sometimes I think about how the freedom we enjoy today is thanks to those who fought and gave their lives for the country. With gratitude for these fallen heroes, today I want to share the story of a global peace activist who experienced the Korean War. This person is Man Hee Lee, the chairman of HWPL in South Korea. During the Korean War in 1950, he fought on the front lines, risking his life for the country. Having experienced the horrors of war firsthand, he understands the importance of peace better than anyone and is dedicated to spreading this message. Since 2012, HWPL Chairman Man Hee Lee, has embarked on a mission for world peace and the cessation of war. His efforts have garnered significant attention from global media, and he has completed 31 peace tours to date. Hello! Today, I would like to introduce you to one of the key projects being conducted by the private non-profit peace organization, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL). ​It's called " Peace Education. " HWPL's Peace Education aims to end wars and teach peace to future generations. Currently, many countries recognize the importance of peace and are teaching peace education in schools through MOUs with HWPL. Today, I would like to introduce you to the peace education in Croatia. Croatia is renowned for its beautiful natural landscapes and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, but it also has a history of suffering due to the civil war with Serbia in the 1990s. Recently, the winds of peace have been blowing in Croatia through HWPL's peace education ! Ante Starčević Elementary School boasts a 190-year history, having witnessed numerous events, including wars.
