HWPL Peace Education Program: “Peace Begins in the Classroom” Expands in Eastern Europe, Moves into Moldova

Peace begins in the classroom. These days, this simple sentence stays with me deeply. As a mother and a teacher, I find myself asking the same question every day when I look into my students’ eyes. What is it that we should truly pass on to our children? Is it knowledge? Good grades? Or the ability to outcompete others? I think I finally know the answer. What is more precious than any inheritance is a heart that learns and practices peace. So today, I would like to share HWPL’s special story with you. The journey of peace education that began in Romania is now moving toward Moldova.  Hello, everyone! This is HWPL Supporters ONE. Today, in recognition of World Refugee Day — a day for all humanity to remember — we would like to share a special story from HWPL’s Georgia branch. Why has humanity still not become one? We have experienced countless wars, yet we still have not reached a peaceful world. Even now, because of war, people are losing their homes and crying out in pain around the world. However, in these times, there is an organization proclaiming the slogan “We are one,” working to end wars and achieve practical peace. That is Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), led by Chairman Man Hee Lee. HWPL has worked actively for peace in solidarity with experts from various fields — politics, law, religion, education, media, women, and youth.  In particular, together with international law scholars, they drafted the “Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)” and submitted it to the UN, striving to achieve lasting peace.
