Hello, I’m Kkotnim(Florence), peace-loving soul from breezy Jeju. I think I’m more sensitive than most people. Maybe that’s why even tiny quarrels tend to linger in my heart. When people exchange irritated words on the bus, the air quickly grows heavy, and I feel like I can hardly breathe. I feel a chill run through me when I see scenes in movies where cities collapse and people push one another away. Perhaps for this reason, I find stories about conflict or war especially heavy.  That’s why the word 'peace' feels all the more urgent to me. Here in Jeju, under the wide blue sky and along its endless sea, I’m always dreaming. I have my own small dreams, but I’ve realized there’s something essential for all dreams to grow—and that is 'PEACE'. Hello, friends! On September 18–19, 2025, South Korea hosted the 11th Anniversary of the HWPL September 18th World Peace Summit. The main event lasted two days, but commemorative events will continue in major cities across 78 countries until October! The theme of this event was "Unity for Peace, Humanity's Mission to Achieve It Together." The subtitle alone made it clear that peace cannot be achieved solely by the efforts of a few peace activists; it requires the collective attention and unity of all humanity! As an HWPL Supporter ONE, I participated in this event as a member of the film crew! It was a meaningful experience to be able to capture the vivid scene up close and experience the message of peace firsthand. In particular, I often heard stories of the Korean War from my grandmother, a displaced person, and had longed for the peaceful unification of the Korean Peninsula. In my previous blog, I shared both my excitement for the upcoming 11th anniversary of the HWPL September 18th World Peace Summit and my thoughts on how precious ordinary days can be. And finally—the event has taken place! ✨ Hearing about the ceremony, I didn’t just feel excited—I felt assured that peace is truly becoming a reality. The 11th anniversary ceremony was held in Cheongju, South Korea, from September 18–19, and will continue in major cities across 78 countries through October. I learned that more than 800 leaders—including former and current presidents, prime ministers, parliamentary speakers, chief justices, ministers, as well as leaders in education, religion, media, and youth—gathered in Korea.
