  Who should build peace?   In Malawi, an international peace education program sought to find the answer through young people’s learning and action.   The 2026 Youth Empowerment for Peace Class (YEPC), organized by IPYG in partnership with Malawi’s National Youth Council (NYCOM), was held from May 28 to June 25. More than 1,000 young people in Malawi registered for the program, with cumulative attendance reaching 1,005 across the five live sessions. Everyone talks about peace .  The word 'peace' appears constantly in speeches, international events, and the media.  But it is not easy to find examples of that universal desire being translated into sustained, concrete action.  Recently, I came across an article outlining the 14-year record of the 1st through 32nd World Peace Tours led by Lee Man-hee, Chairman of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light(HWPL).  What made me reflect deeply on his journey was not merely the scale of his activities, but the determination and sense of mission behind them.   1.   When Numbers Tell a Human Story    According to the article, Chairman Lee began these Peace Tours in 2012, when he was already in his 80s, and continued them into his 90s.  Over 14 years, he undertook 32 Peace Tours around the world, carrying with him what he called the “Heaven-given Answer to Peace.”  On paper, “32 Peace Tours” might simply sound like the busy ...

A Special Appeal from Fijian Religious and Human Rights Figures How can we protect the dignity and human rights of older adults?   A recent human rights roundtable held in Fiji has drawn attention. It was not simply a gathering to discuss the case of one individual. Participants discussed elder abuse, financial exploitation, the dignity and care of older adults, and universal human rights.
