[HWPL Chairman Man Hee Lee] The Expansion of Peace Education in India: Achievements and Prospects
Continuing from the previous article about HWPL’s Chairman, today we aim to deliver a vivid account of a peace event.
Let's take a journey today to the peace education site of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) in India. The seeds of peace were sown in India through Chairman Man Hee Lee’s 23rd peace tour. These seeds have flourished, leading to active peace education programs in India.

In December 2015, the HWPL peace delegation visited India and signed MOUs for the HWPL Peace School with five schools: Ramagya School, Samsara School, Jaypee School, Alcon Public School, and Noida International University.
Following this, HWPL Peace Education Division 3 reported that six more schools—Little Steps Montessori School, City Montessori School, Bluebells International School, Rosemary English High School, Kulachi Hansraj Model School, and Alwachin Public School—also signed MOUs.
Among these six schools, peace teacher training has been conducted in five, excluding Bluebells International School, and peace education is currently being implemented.
Particularly, Alwachin Public School has conducted peace education 31 times since 2019.
Shakshi Sharma, the principal of Alwachin Public School, explained, "HWPL peace education is an innovative program that equips individuals with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to foster a culture of peace," adding, "It helps students become global citizens who actively contribute to creating a more harmonious world."
Furthermore, it was reported that both teachers and students have experienced positive changes through HWPL peace education. Teachers have grown by learning innovative educational methodologies and collaborating, while students have gained critical thinking skills, increased awareness of global issues, and a sense of responsibility towards creating a peaceful world.
Malini Bindra, a teacher at Kulachi Hansraj Model School, explained, "HWPL peace education aims to cultivate a culture of peace and coexistence through education. It emphasizes teaching values such as respect, tolerance, and understanding.“
Thus, HWPL peace education is driving positive changes in schools not only in India but around the world. We look forward to seeing the winds of peace spread globally, leading to a world free of conflicts.
