HWPL, the people making peace a reality — The story of “We Are One” unfolding across Europe, Georgia, and Korea

War continues to shake people’s lives in many parts of the world. Yet even in these uncertain times, one trend is becoming increasingly clear: peace is not a distant ideal, but a reality we can create together. And at the center of this movement is HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light).

This was especially evident during last month’s HWPL World Peace Summit European 11th Anniversary event, where global leaders, educators, religious representatives, and youth gathered online to reflect on the past 11 years of the peace journey and discuss the future we will build together.

1. “We Are One” — 11 Years of Change HWPL Has Created

The event highlighted HWPL’s major accomplishments over the past 11 years—achievements impressive enough to make you wonder if HWPL is truly shaping the global movement toward peace.

✔️“Expanding Support for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)”

The DPCW, drafted by HWPL together with international law experts, is now being adopted as a “resolution of support” by governments and parliaments around the world. This year in particular, PARLATINO, Georgia, Mongolia, Madagascar, and several other countries officially expressed support for the DPCW. It marked a turning point where peace began moving from a written promise to an actual reality.

2. "Religion: The Key to Peace, Not Conflict" — Interfaith Dialogue Across 132 Countries

HWPL has been operating WARP Offices in 132 countries, consistently providing opportunities for different religions to “understand one another.”

Rather than debating who is right or wrong, the focus is on how we can protect peace together.

Through this process, misunderstandings are genuinely resolved, cooperation continues, and religion demonstrates its power as a force for peace. Scenes of open dialogue, listening, learning, and shared smiles reveal the true atmosphere of peace.

3. Change Begins with Education — Peace Education in 112 Countries

HWPL’s peace education now reaches over 1,000 educational institutions across 112 countries.

The impact of teaching children about “peace” is far greater than one might imagine.

“Our students have become braver, more open, and more compassionate,” shared a teacher from Romania.

More and more children are learning not to avoid conflict but to actively choose peace—and that is what truly shapes the future.

4. Global Youth United  as One — Youth Peace Project in 128 Countries

IPYG, HWPL’s youth organization, is a global network of 1,549 groups across 128 countries.

The countless faces connected online reflect the powerful energy of young people united across borders with a shared goal. Through street campaigns, policy proposals, volunteer work, and community projects, these youth are, quite literally, “peace in action.”

5. Visit to Korea by the Georgian Delegation — “Peace in Korea felt like the rhythm of everyday life.”

One of the highlights of the event was the visit of a 22-member delegation from Georgia, USA.

They were leaders from religious, educational, and civic groups who had helped pass the DPCW support resolution. The delegation described the culture they experienced in Korea as follows:

“Peace in Korea was not a special event, but something that naturally flowed through the rhythm of everyday life.”

The scenes they witnessed in Korea delivered the message that “peace can also become a culture.” They pledged to expand peace projects in the Atlanta area upon returning home.

6. In conclusion

What HWPL has achieved over the past 11 years serves as proof that “peace can be realized.” Ending war doesn’t start with grand politics, but with a single choice, a single action, and a single citizen. That’s why HWPL always says: We Are One.

When we truly come together as one, peace can finally become a reality.
