A moving story from across the ocean: how Fiji’s youth were transformed through the “TripleC Project”

When you think of Fiji, what comes to mind?

You probably picture crystal-clear emerald waters and peaceful island getaways.

But in reality, young people there are experiencing “digital growing pains” more than ever before.

I recently came across an article that felt quite refreshing, so I wanted to share it with you.

It’s about the “TripleC Project”, a collaboration between Fiji’s National Youth Council (NYCF) and IPYG.

They were full of passion but didn’t have a way to share it.

Did you know there are over 800 youth clubs across Fiji?

NYCF is a trusted organization that supports and represents these young people.

They are doing incredible work, from environmental protection to preserving traditional culture.

However, there was one thing that felt a bit lacking.

While these youths were actively working on solving social issues on the ground, they weren’t very familiar with digital content creation skills to effectively showcase their efforts to the world.

It’s something we can all relate to, right?

When you want to share something meaningful, but feel frustrated because you don’t know how to express it well.

That was exactly their situation.

Just education? No—equipping them with real, practical “AI tools”

That’s where IPYG stepped in.

Rather than simply giving instructions, they provided practical training in using AI and digital content creation tools.

• Real-world, hands-on learning

Rather than just learning theory, participants actually planned and created promotional content themselves using AI tools.

• Even the minister was impressed by the enthusiasm

The energy on site was so intense that even Fiji’s Minister of Youth and Sports came in person to offer encouragement.

Seeing the bright smiles of the participants holding their certificates was truly heartwarming.

Now, these young people each have a “powerful megaphone” to share their voices with the world.

In the end, peace gains its strength through communication.

As I followed this initiative, one thing stood out to me:

Values like peace and social contribution only gain real strength when they resonate with people.

Rather than just repeating slogans, IPYG’s approach—helping youth develop the independence and skills to create change themselves—felt both practical and meaningful.

Isn’t this the kind of support that truly makes a difference?
